Olá a todos!
Descobri esta tarde no YouTube um vídeo fantástico feita por um “caçador-de-tempestades”!
Sendo eu um apaixonado por tempestades, decidi imediatamente ver o vídeo! Não me arrependi! Um vídeo com uma qualidade imensa!
E, antes de verem o vídeo, podem ler o texto do realizador (Mike Olbinski) na página do vídeo no YouTube. Aqui fica um pouquinho abaixo:
On June 12th, I broke down into tears. Minutes earlier, I had been outside my truck, leaning against it, head buried in my arms, frustration and failure washing over me. I wanted to quit. I got back in the car and as I drove, the pain got the better of me and the tears came.

Weather Channel – simulation floods
O canal de meteorologia Weather Channel desenvolveu uma forma interessante (realidade aumentada) para chamar a atenção das pessoas que ainda teimam em sair de casa quando os bombeiros tentam evacuar as cidades em casos de catástrofes naturais. Tudo isto, com base no Unreal Engine, que é utilizado para videojogos e não só.
Assim, o canal, durante a apresentação dos avisos, simula o que aconteceria caso o cenário se tornasse muito grave.
Outra curiosidade foi o vídeo que recebi de notificação da Tech Insider, com imagens deste mesmo furacão que circula no globo.
E, curiosamente, o Helene dirige-se aqui para os Açores, em que nesta altura estamos em alerta vermelho em algumas ilhas, pois está prevista a sua chegada aos Açores para hoje.

Monumental Storm

While touring Arizona’s Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Your Shot member Emma Rogers and her partner were undeterred from a day of sightseeing by the stormy weather sweeping the landscape. Here, a mass of thunderclouds hovers above the Mitten Buttes, a scene made more dramatic by a bolt of lightning. “While it was a lucky shot,” writes Rogers, “I feel like it perfectly captured the atmosphere of the day.”
Rogers’s image recently appeared in Your Shot’s Daily Dozen.
