Flat lay photography

with 3 comments

A long time I’ve been fascinated about that kind of photos taken from the top, with some objects organized on a table, or even in the floor, to creat some interesting compositions. But, I didn’t know how to search this kind of photos, because I didn’t know what was the name of this technique. Last month I learnt the name through Peter McKinnon, in a video about that. So, it’s called Flat Lay Photography!

So, I share with you a video of Peter McKinnon, talking a bit more about this technique and some flat lay photos.

And stay tuned on my photography blog, because I’m going to share some experiences with this type of photos!

Cats are probably one of the most flexible animals ever, which makes them the perfect yoga buddies. Sometimes the poses they strike are so hilarious it’s impossible to resist taking a picture. And sometimes, this is how new trends are started.

Here is another unique photography project by Seth Casteel. This time he is capturing of underwater babies for The New York Times. Project is called ‘Little Nemos,’. In article Times explains that the images are of more than just an usual swim lesson. These photos are showing a self-rescue technique that babies can learn in order to save themselves from drowning. As soon as they are under water, they hold their breath underwater, kick their feet, turn over to float on their backs and rest until help arrives. Like a miracle.

About Seth Casteel – Seth Casteel is an award-winning photographer and the New York Times Best Selling Author of Underwater Dogs, the best selling photography book of 2012. His forthcoming book, Underwater Puppies, will be published September 16, 2014.

Belo livro este: The Great Life Photographers

Que me tem dado a conhecer magníficas imagens/fotógrafos.
