Knickers – vaca com 1400Kgs e 1,94mt

Que loucura!

É um animal da raça Holstein Friesian, tem 1,94 mtr. de altura e 1400 quilos! Vive na Austrália. Por ser muito grande, safou-se do matadouro!

Não é o mais alto do mundo, pois o mais alto tem 2 metros e 2 centímetros, que é Bellino, que vive em Itália.

A 6ft 4in cow named Knickers has become an internet sensation. The 1,400kg (3080lb) animal is technically a steer and he’s believed to be the biggest in Australia. Knickers is a Holstein Friesian and his near record-breaking size has saved him from the slaughterhouse

What The Fluff Challenge

Donos de animais de estimação, possivelmente vão querer experimentar isto. O What the Fluff Challenge (#whatthefluffchallenge) é o desafio mais recente da Internet. Neste desafio, os donos escondem-se atrás de um cobertor (por exemplo) e “desaparecem” à frente dos seus animais. Os cães e gatos (até agora os animais que foram enganados com esta partida) têm reacções que variam entre uma incompreensão profunda do que se está a passar, pânico de não saber onde estão os seus humanos e completa indiferença.

Mesmerising Mass Sheep Herding

t’s woolly’s roundup! This incredible footage of hundreds of sheep being herded across New Zealand’s grasslands will blow you away.

The amazing footage shows hordes of sheep stampeding their way across a field, being rounded up by dogs as they migrate to a new field.

The mesmerising scenes were caught on film by aerial photographer and qualified pilot Tim Whittaker, from New Zealand.

“The Memphis Zoo houses bald eagles that have been injured too badly to be returned to the wild,” writes Your Shot member Michael Pachis. “Usually the eagles are perched in their tree watching the visitors. However, this time I noticed one … hopping on the ground toward a water pool in the aviary. He surprised me by dunking his entire head in the water” before coming up shaking.

Shark Tonic Immobility

 

 

 

 

Tonic immobility is a natural state of paralysis which animals enter, often called animal hypnosis. Its function is not certain. It may be related to mating in certain animals like sharks. It may also be a way of avoiding or deterring predators (playing dead is called thanatosis).

Tonic immobility has also been used for the paralysis which often immobilizes animals, such as rodents or birds when they feel threatened by a predator. Tonic immobility plays a role in survival if it helps a hunted animal to blend in with its surroundings.

Tonic immobility can be induced without causing any apparent stress to the animal. For example, stroking a particular area of a lobster’s shell or focusing a hen’s attention on a line on the ground.

Tonic immobility has also been said to occur in humans that are subject to intense trauma such as rape or sexual assault. [1][2] Catatonia in humans is a serious semi-permanent psychiatric state.
