Striking Hand-Build Animal Sculptures by Beth Cavener Stichter
These striking ceramic animal sculptures are created by Washington-based artist Beth Cavener Stichter. The artist uses clay and other materials to hand-build animals that seem to depict both human and animalistic behavior and emotions.
“These figures are simply feral animals suspended in a moment of tension. Beneath the surface, they embody the consequences of human fear, apathy, aggression, and misunderstanding.”
To complete her work Stichter collaborated with various artists including Alessandro Gallo who recently designed traditional Japanese tattoos, Tangled Up in You. Take a look some of her incredible creation below:
